About Us
AS A DESIGN AND BRANDING COLLABORATIVE, WE DEMAND THE HIGHEST STANDARDS OF CREATIVE EXCELLENCE IN OUR WORK. THIS COLLABORATION STEMS FROM THE DIFFERENT ABILITIES WHICH EACH MEMBER POSSESSES. RESPECT IS THE ESSENCE OF TEAM PLAY AND THE FOUNDATION OF FREE AGENCY CREATIVE.

Free Agency Creative is a contemporary graphic design and brand management firm specializing in creating design solutions for local and international companies. Co-founders Don Williams and Tak Yukawa have extensive experience in maintaining the integrity of high profile brands, while creating new and exciting design directions. Their talented team of interactive, print design and environmental design specialists has the ability to develop brand identities that resonate in today’s crowded marketplace.

Free Agency Creative is a process driven studio which emphasizes creativity as being the result of solid strategy and diligent developmental phases. For Free Agency Creative, written concepts precede visuals, the sketch book precedes digital design and rigorous digital development is done through a collaborative studio lens.

ABOUT THE PARTNERS

Don Williams
Don has been creating relevant design solutions for successful companies for more than 12 years. His key to success lies in his ability to bridge the gap between business objectives and creative strategy. He has a strong reputation within Vancouver’s talented design community and is highly regarded by Free Agency’s growing roster of clients.
In 2002, Don was honoured with the Enrique Salazaar Award, by the Graphic Designers of Canada, for best young designer in British Columbia. Don’s expert knowledge of typography and type design has been key to Free Agency’s development of custom trademarks and logotypes. His contemporary design style and commitment to strategic writing platforms differentiates Free Agency and has led to lasting relationships with clients such as: Ryniak Architects, Marketplace Events, Tara Parker Tait PR, and Rennie Marketing Systems.
In addition to running Free Agency Creative, being married, and a father of 2 kids, Don also teaches typography, professional practice, and core studio classes at Emily Carr University. However, if you visit the studio, you’ll realize his obsession is the craft of making a great espresso.
